Our WEEE Policy

 

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive is now UK law. The legislation aims to make producers pay for the collection, treatment and recovery of waste electrical equipment. The regulations also mean that suppliers of equipment like high street shops and internet retailers must allow customers to return their waste equipment free of charge. THM is obliged under these regulations to offer our customers free take-back of their WEEE on a like-for-like basis when you buy from us a new Electrical or Electronic product.

 

For Example, if a customer were to buy a new EEE item from us we would accept their old WEEE item and prevent it going into a landfill site by disposing of it safely. Customers must return their WEEE item to us within 28 days of purchasing their new item. Cost of shipping is solely the customers responsibility.

 

As part of the UK WEEE Regulations, all companies have a responsibility to their customers to offer like-for-like recycling on a free of charge basis. We are pleased to be able to offer all our customers a take-back service with the following conditions:

Returns must be made within 28 days of purchase. Proof of purchase is required.

 

Returns can be accepted regardless of place of purchase if the customer buys a like-for-like product from the THM website. If the product is returned through the post the customer assumes responsibility for the security and cost of shipping.
